My So-Called Zine Life

This zine was created from a conversation between Tara Bursey of Partizanka Press and Kostyn, a student of library sciences, in October 2025.

My So-Called Zine Life moves through 30 years of one person's life as a zine-maker, from creating and distributing them in a pre-internet context in the 1990s to gathering ideas and information, and working through the formal and structural considerations of zine-making such as printing, paper and binding. A deep dive at the zine-making practice of one long-time zinester, My So-Called Zine Life explores inspiration, process, and the motivations behind self-publishing across time and technological change.
