Steacy Easton is a Hamilton-based critic, academic, and visual artist who has written for NPR, CBC, Public Books, and the Atlantic, among others. Easton has three books under contract, one from the University of Texas on Why Tammy Wynette Matters, a porn kunstlerroman for Coach House books, and a 33 ⅓ volume on Dolly Parton's White Limozeen, via Bloomsbury.
Their visual work has been shown in Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and New York. They have work in the permanent collections of the library of the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Alberta. They are also a PhD Student in Critical Disability Studies at York University.
