In 2012, I co-created a Macedonian dialectical dictionary with my mother, and published two interviews with her about her mother's participation in the Greek Civil War, and our family's immigration to Toronto after the Greek Junta of 1967. Together, the dictionary and interviews tell a story of intergenerational trauma and resilience, conflict, class identity, political heritage, and the repression, rekindling and preservation of a single Aegean Macedonian village dialect.
Nearly ten years later, this three zine-set revisits this project, and includes bonus inserts.
3 zines, ranging 16-48 pages | digital printing on colored paper, cardstock and kraft paper, saddle stitched, two inserts.
